Atlanta Thrashers 50/50 Raffle Night March 12, 2010

Dixie Dock Dog members are taking their dogs to a Thrashers Ice Hockey game!

Members and their dogs will participate in a 50/50 raffle at the game by selling tickets before the game and during the intermission between play periods. Then, all members and their dogs will be able to go into the arena and view the rest of the game. It's a great fund raiser for the club and an even better way to spend the evening with your friends and your dogs.

Dixie Dock Dogs Big Catch and Fetch

Saturday, April 24, 2010, 10:00 - 3:00

Big Catch Lakeside Grill, Eatonton, Georgia

A time to introduce newbies to dock diving. Dixie Dock Dogs members will be there to demonstrate different methods and help with the newcomers.
Anyone who would like to learn more about the sport and see what your dog can do on the dock is welcome to come join us.

All dogs must be on a leash and remain on leash at all times except when on the dock.
$5.00 fee per team (1 dog + 1 handler = team)
All handlers must be at least 7 years old. No one under 7 allowed on the docks.
Any handler under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
All breeds allowed.
No aggressive dogs or dogs in heat.
All dogs must be at least 6 months old.
All dogs must be currents on vaccinations.
No retractable leashes or leashes longer than 4 feet. (You can tie knots in your leash to make it shorter.)
Handlers must clean up after their dogs

What to bring:

1. Leash
2. Water and water bowl
3. Toy to throw (must float and be retrievable, cannot be edible or live or has ever been live)
4. Poop pick-up bags
5. Crate for your dog (optional)
